FCCLA is an integral part of the family and consumer sciences education program. In the local school, this means chapter projects and activities enhance family and consumer sciences programs of study. Chapters give students expanded opportunities for knowledge application, leadership involvement, community involvement and personal growth. Through their involvement, students apply classroom knowledge, sort out thoughts, analyze situations,National Family & Consumer Science Standards
set goals, interact with others, and become leaders in today's --- and tomorrow's families, careers and communities. FCCLA activities and projects create ideal opportunities for students to develop and apply family and consumer sciences skills while demonstrating mastery of the national family and consumer sciences standards.
