From the Tried & True
To the Very New
The Illinois FCCLA (FHA/HERO) Foundation Board is proud to announce the publication of a commemorative cookbook celebrating the 60 years that FCCLA (FHA/HERO) has been in existence. FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), previously known as FHA/FHA-HERO (Future Homemakers of America/Home Economics Related Occupations), is a student organization that “Prepares Individuals for Life and Work, for Strengthening Families, and for Enabling Communities through Family and Consumer Sciences Education and FCCLA.” The Illinois FCCLA Foundation Board strives to obtain funding for students who are members of FCCLA to promote “leadership development, career preparation, and personal growth.” The Foundation Board continually focuses on investing in programs and scholarships for FCCLA student members.
Advisors of the FCCLA (FHA/HERO) organization and Family and Consumer Science (Home Economics) teachers sponsor this cookbook. This special cookbook contains almost 1000 of these teachers’ favorite personal and class recipes. There are also recipes from former and present FCCLA members and/or their parents. Pictures of members and activities spanning the last 60 years are featured.
The cookbook, a publication of Jumbo Jack’s Cookbooks in Audubon, Iowa, was six months in the making. The supply is limited and many copies have already been spoken for, so order your cookbook now. Where could you find better recipes than from former and present Home Economics and Family and Consumer Science teachers? This will be a cookbook that you will definitely want to add to your collection.
