Illinois Foundation for FCCLA The Illinois Foundation for FCCLA is a non-profit organization for students in grades 6 -12 that promotes leadership development, career preparation, and personal growth for members and advisors of the Illinois Association of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). It was founded and incorporated in 1978. Since then the Illinois Foundation for FCCLA (formerly known as Illinois Foundation for FHA-HERO) has provided financial support for numerous statewide activities benefiting thousands of FCCLA members. This non-profit organization designated 501(c)3 helps to provide scholarships, leadership training and financial support for FCCLA members in Illinois. Purposes The purposes of the Foundation are to broaden the financial base for student leadership activities and provide increased opportunities in leadership and career development through Family and Consumer Sciences and related areas. Board of Directors The direction and management of the business of the Illinois Foundation for FCCLA is done by volunteers who make up the Foundation Board of Directors. Those who serve on the Illinois Foundation for FCCLA do not receive an honorarium. Each volunteer assumes all of their own expenses to the meetings. Those who are
