Fall Leadership Meetings 2007

“Join the Leadership Safari”

This year the Fall Leadership Meetings will be held in 6 locations on the following dates:  

          October 22 – Northfield Inn & Conference Center, Springfield

            October 25 – Holiday Inn & Conference Center, Skokie

            October 30 – Eastern Illinois University, Charleston

            November 1 –Holiday Inn Center, Rock Falls  

            November 5 – Double Tree Inn & Conference Center, Bloomington

            November 7 – Southern Illinois University, Carbondale

Chapters may choose to attend any of the meetings listed above.  You are not restricted to attending any specific meeting.  Choose the site or date that best fits your chapter.   Click on the meeting sites to see a schedule for the day and other meeting details. FCCLA members attending these awesome leadership meetings will be involved in hands-on interactive activities and workshops. Dynamic keynote speaker, David Mouser will challenge students at each of the meeting sites.   

Illinois Foundation for FCCLA Activity
One dollar of each member’s registration fee will be given to the Illinois Foundation for FCCLA.  Some sites will also have an auction to raise money for Foundation.  Tickets will be for sale for a donation of 1/$1.00 or 6/$ 5.00.

Community Service Project
Each meeting will also be conducting a Community Service Outreach Project.  Each member is ask to donate at least $1.00 to the Feed the Children National FCCLA Outreach Project.  Illinois is focusing on this Community Service Outreach for the 2007-2008 school year with a goal of $7200.00 collected (this is the amount needed to fund a semi-truck load of food).

Code of Conduct Forms and Dress
Student Conduct Forms can be found on the website.  Please print a copy of the form off and reproduce for each student to sign.  Members’ behavior at these meetings is the only image others in the hotels, on campus and at conference centers have of our organization.  Student conduct and dress should contribute to the positive, professional image of FCCLA.  Jeans, mid drift tops, and short skirts are NOT acceptable dress. 

Liability and Medical Release Forms
Liability & Medical Release Forms can be found on the website.  Please print a copy of the form off and reproduce for each student to sign.  The insurance company that covers the liability for Illinois FCCLA requires that this form by on file with the state office for every meeting.  One signed copy covers the student for all meetings this school year. 

Adviser Responsibilities
Advisers are responsible for enforcing the code of conduct & dress code policies. Advisers are responsible for the behavior and discipline of their students throughout the meeting.  Students causing a disturbance or displaying inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave the meeting.

Membership
In order to register and attend the Illinois FCCLA Meetings, attendees must be an affiliated member of Illinois FCCLA.  Please affiliate your students at the on-line system prior to registering for the meeting.

Cancellation/Refunds
There will be no refunds granted for the Fall Leadership Meetings.  In the event that a student cannot attend, please substitute another student.

CPDU Credit
Adults participating in the Fall Leadership Meetings may receive one Certified Professional Development Unit (CPDU).  To receive this credit, you must attend the adviser’s session that will be held at each site.

Fall Leadership Meetings/Registration Information
Register early!  In the event meeting capacities are met, registrations will be processed according to the on-line registration date.  Registrations may be refused if meeting capacities are reached. 

Regular Registration Fees for Springfield, Charleston, & Carbondale

Student members, chapter advisers, and chaperones (cost includes facility costs, breakfast snack, keynote speaker fees, & Illinois Foundation donation)……………………………. $ 12.00

Late Registration Fees
An additional $ 50.00 per chapter will be charged if registration is not received by the dates given above for each site. 

How to Register:

  1. Regular Registration Fees – you must register on-line at http://www.ilfccla.org/registration.htm  Click on the Fall Leadership Meetings icon, click on registration.  You will enter the information on-line, print out a copy & mail in the payment.  To avoid the late fee you must submit the on-line information by site deadlines listed.
  1. Late Registration – Any registration entered after the regular registration deadlines will be charged the late registration fee ($ 50.00 per chapter), so register early!
  1. Completing Forms – Complete the Fall Leadership Meeting registration form on-line by filling in all information requested.  Make copies of the completed form – send one copy to the address below and keep one copy for your records.  Payment for registration may either be paid in advance via mail or presented at the registration booth on site.  Please make every effort to pay in advance.

  1. Print Code of Conduct & Medical Liability Release Forms from the Illinois FCCLA website.  Make copies for your students.  Have all copies signed and either mail them in advance to the state FCCLA office or bring them with you to the conference and present them at the registration table.
  1. Receipts for payment will be available at the registration booth at each site. 

6.  Refund Policy – because of the requirement to guarantee numbers at the meeting site, refunds will not be granted for cancelled registrations.
